Downtown Crossing office building to be turned into apartments

Harold Brown, the area’s apartment-building king, is turning the 12-story office building at 8 Winter Street into 48 apartment units.

Forty of the units will be one-bedrooms, while eight would be studios. The rent would range from $1,650 to $1,950.
